Submission to the Game Jam
Started this game jam 2 weeks and 2 days ago. In that time I worked on my first 3d game ever. I was overly ambitious with the project as well and had so many ideas I wanted to implement. But could not in the end with the time limit. I still ended up with a project I am very proud of. My main goal is always to learn and get experience. I definitely did that with this project. In the last few days I had to rush to get things done but I know what can be done next time. This project I may decide to come back and fix up or maybe even just take all the good parts and make a better game out of it. I did this in 2 weeks and 2 days. Makes me feel confident that I can take an idea I am passionate about and make it into the prefect game within a year or something. Maybe I need more experience still but I am definitely starting to feel more confident in my abilities. This is now my 3rd game made for game jams. It is definitely stressful working as a software developer and then after work continue to program in game development. I think I need another break with this one and I will need to not be as ambitious on a time limit for future jams. I can get a lot done in small periods of time but we all need breaks as well. Time management is important, got lucky with this game jam that had a 2 day grace period because with the extra time I was able to make the game so much better in my opinion. I hope people enjoy the game! Stay well everyone!
